Nature in the heart of Strasbourg
Are you looking for a spot of nature for a stroll or a quiet read? Strasbourg hides many treasures. Here are a few 'slow' spots in the city where you can reconnect with nature and make some wonderful discoveries.
- The Orangerie Park: Head to the Parc de l'Orangerie to stroll along the banks of a lake and watch the swans and the Josephine Pavilion. For the more adventurous among you, you can take a boat trip on the lake.
- The Botanical Garden: In the heart of Strasbourg, more than 6,000 species of plants over 3.5 hectares await you at the Strasbourg Botanical Garden.
- The Jardin des deux rives: Situated on either side of the Rhine, this garden is more than just a symbol of the perfect friendship between France and Germany. This vast borderless garden hosts seasonal plant exhibitions and cultural events: concerts, dance, circus, etc. A boldly designed footbridge links the two banks of the Rhine. It offers pedestrians and cyclists the most international of strolls.
